The CIPFA Education and Training Centre (CETC)
The CIPFA Education and Training Centre (CETC) was established in 1986 by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) to provide high quality financial management training for the public services. CETC recognises that relevant professional education and training is crucial to the future success of individuals and organisations.
CETC is exclusively focused on delivering training and support for the full range of CIPFA qualifications including:
- CIPFA Professional Accountancy Qualification courses, revision courses and support for IPDS
- CIPFA Diploma in Public Audit
- CIPFA Advanced Diploma in Business and Financial Management.
Highly effective and structured courses are offered through four centres in the UK: South East (London), Midlands (Birmingham), West of England (Bristol) and East Scotland (Edinburgh).

CIPFA Midlands
The Midlands Region stretches from the Welsh borders to the East Coast, taking in shire counties and the West Midlands conurbation. The Regional President is Mark Lawrie, who is a Partner in Deloitte. There are 2,900 CIPFA members within the Region, which has within its boundaries two Colleges teaching CIPFA students - Nottingham Trent University and the CETC Birmingham.
The Midlands Students Society was founded in the Autumn of 2004, and goes from strength to strength - with an active Committee, its own area on the Regional Website, and a programme of events.
