Public Reporting and Accountability

The award ceremony took place at the CIPFA Annual Conference, on 13 June 2007 at the Bournemouth International Centre. In recognition of their achievements, PwC hosted a drinks reception for all finalists after the ceremony.  Wychavon District Council has been named the overall winner for the second time.

Leeds City Council triumphed in the category for the local organisation with an annual turnover of more than £50million. The award for the national organisation with an annual turnover of less than £50million went to the Home-Grown Cereals Authority, and the category for the national organisation with an annual turnover of more than £50million went to Defence Estates.

Wychavon won the award for the local organisation with an annual turnover of less than £50million, this is one of four categories which are judged by leading figures from the public and private sectors.
