Revision courses

CETC revision courses are held for each module in May and November.

Ranging from 1 – 3 days these courses aim to prepare you for the exams. They focus on developing successful exam techniques, practising exam questions, and discussing the key concepts and principles of the module. Comprehensive materials including practice questions and revision notes are provided.

To find out more about revision courses please see the Revision page in the Courses section of the website or call 020 7403 4300.

Mock Case Studies (FMCS)

Practising case studies is the best way to prepare for the Finance and Management Case Study paper but with a limited number of case studies available with which to rehearse, practising can prove difficult for open learning students.

CETC have many examination standard case studies, additional to those available through the CIPFA website and study guides, which open learning students can either choose to sit at CETC under exam conditions or at home and submit to CETC for marking.

How does it work?:

To find out how the process works either see the shaded box below or click here to go to a page with further information

  • You choose the case study you wish to attempt taking note of whether it is offered at CETC or not and the date it is to be sat or submitted by. For the latest available case studies, dates and fees, call CETC on 020 7403 4300.
  • Enrol for the case studies you wish to take by completing the CETC enrolment form and sending this to CETC.
  • If you are sitting the mock case study at CETC you will receive its pre-seen material 2 weeks in advance. If you are sitting it at home/work then all relevant case study materials will be sent to you within one week of your enrolment.
  • Once the case study has been sat / script been sent to CETC the scripts will be marked and returned within two weeks of the submission deadline. Tutorial guides, examiner reports and suggested answers will also be returned with marked scripts.
  • In addition to written feedback, a one-to-one tutorial with the tutor who has marked the script is available for an extra fee.

This service is ideal for both first time sitters and re-sitters. If you have any queries about mock case studies or mock exams for other modules contact CETC on 020 7403 4300.
