Simon
Perks, an auditor at KPMG (centre) received the first John Sandbach Memorial
Prize from Roger Tabor, chair of the CIPFA Education & Training Centre
Governing Body. The new prize goes to the CETC student with the highest
marks at Diploma or P2 level

The prize has been established by the governing body of CETC to
honour the memory of its late chair, John Sandbach, who died in 2003. Also
present at the April 29 ceremony was guest of honour Evelyn Sandbach, John's

is offering courses/advice to support CIPFA's new Initial Professional Development
Scheme (IPDS) from July 2004. Click here for further details

CETC
received a very positive report on its 2003 courses from Canterbury Business
School, CETC's independent quality assurance review. The review, carried
out in April/May 2004, concluded that CETC continues to provide its students
with a high standard of education and training provision and succeeds in
achieving its principal objectives with regard to the provision of professionally
