NSF Excellence in Education Award 2007

CETC Lecturer Wins NSF Excellence in Education Award!

CETC Lecturer Kim Woods has been announced as the winner of the CIPFA National Student Forum (NSF) Excellence in Education award. The award was presented at the 2007 NSF conference on Thursday 5th July.

The award is presented annually by the NSF and is designed to recognise the CIPFA lecturer who is dedicated, committed and has gone the extra mile for their students. CIPFA Students can nominate any lecturer from any of the accredited CIPFA course providers that they believe deserves the award.

Gary Gilbert, Head of CETC, who collected the award on Kim's behalf said: "Kim has such a caring and committed approach to students that it is no surprise to me that she has won this award. We're very pleased at CETC that this is the second year running that a CETC lecturer has won this award although we do admit that we have an advantage as CIPFA students have a greater exposure to our lecturers who teach across the UK at our locations in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Leeds. On behalf of everyone at CETC I'd like to congratulate Kim on her win."

Kim joined CETC in March 2005 having taught CIMA and AAT courses at a further education college in Surrey since February 2000. Kim teaches Certificate level modules for the Professional Accountancy Qualification (Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting) and Taxation for the Diploma level.
