Another excellent year for the CIPFA Education and Training Centre

The CIPFA Education and Training Centre (CETC) has once again produced an outstanding set of results from the December 2009 examinations.

Students who attended courses at the Centre exceeded the average pass rate in all modules. They represented 44% of all CIPFA’s examination candidates and achieved an impressive 84% pass rate.

The pass rate achieved by the Centre’s students was significantly higher than the CIPFA average for all modules. Particularly high pass rates for CETC students were achieved in the following papers:

Finance and Management Case Study – 78% (CIPFA average - 57%)
Financial and Performance Reporting – 84% (CIPFA average – 66%)
Financial Management Systems and Techniques – 83% (CIPFA average – 65%)
Financial Reporting - 80% (CIPFA average – 64%)
Public Finance – 96% (CIPFA average – 84%)
Accounting for Decision Making – 75% (CIPFA average – 64%)
Financial Accounting – 89% (CIPFA average – 78%)
Leadership and Management – 85% (CIPFA average – 75%)

Moreover, out of the 11 national prizes at CIPFA’s final exams, eight went to CETC students.
