Support for Open Learning Students

Studying CIPFA through the open learning only route can be hard work and require a huge amount of discipline and motivation. CETC can help open learning students through a range of services that students can pick and choose from. You can read about the options we have available below along with information on the price, availability, and how to enrol.

Mock Exams
A mock exam can help give you an indication of how well you have assimilated the open learning material, how good your exam technique is, and any areas you need to work on before the real exam. As part of the main course CETC provides a mock exam for its students to sit in exam conditions, we can also extend this service to open learning students by providing you with a mock exam which you can choose to sit in class at the nearest CETC college or at home or work and then submit to CETC for marking and feedback.

Cost: £95 plus vat
Availability:
You can sit a mock exam at home/work according to the date of the mock exam on CETC's course schedule. If you are sitting it at home/work you will need to post your script to CETC to be received before the mock exam date on the course schedule.
How to enrol:
Complete the PQ enrolment form and submit this to CETC

FMCS Mock Exams
Practising sitting case studies is the best way to prepare for the intensive FMCS paper. However, only a limited number of case studies are available as part of the Open Learning Material so CETC has made more available for CIPFA students. You can find out more about how the Ad Hoc Case Study mock exam service works here.

Cost: £95 plus vat for mock exam, £175 plus vat for mock exam and feedback tutorial.
