CIPFA 2008 has even more of interest for delegates arriving early in Brighton. As well as the traditional fringe lecture, an International Seminar will showcase CIPFA’s international strategy. Why not come to Brighton early and enjoy these extra activities as well as more time to network with colleagues?

Golf Tournament

 The 2008 tournament takes place at the East Sussex National Golf Club and is again sponsored by Tradition. Those interested in participating in this popular event are advised to book their places early by contacting the organiser, Ray Bolton, on 01638 665672 or email raybolton@tiscali.co.uk.

 
International Seminar, 1.30 pm

 Delegates arriving in Brighton early will have the chance to attend CIPFA’s International Seminar showcasing CIPFA’s International Strategy and current developments.

Speakers include Tony Hegarty, Chief Financial Management Officer of the World Bank, Mark Lowcock, Director General, Country Programmes, Department for International Development and Caroline Rickatson, International Director, CIPFA.

 
Fringe Lecture from John Prescott, 4.45pm

 Tony Blair’s number two for ten years’ the former deputy prime minister will be looking back at his time in politics and parliament.

The Fringe Lecture is a must attend event and will be immensely popular with those arriving at conference on Tuesday afternoon.
