The CIPFA annual conference - one of the largest events in the public services calendar - offered a bold and imaginative programme of distinguished speakers covering everything from governance to globalisation and service delivery to demography. The issues surrounding the public services over the next decade were openly discussed and debated by the people who will be defining the problems and designing the solutions.
