CIPFA has developed a range of additional IFRS products and services to help public sector organisations understand the requirements of IFRS, overcome the key challenges and smooth the way for a successful transition.

These range from networks, software tools and newsletters to interim placement and consultancy services.

Finance Advisory Network’s IFRS Support

The CIPFA Finance Advisory Network (FAN), building on its unrivalled reputation for supporting the local government financial management change agenda, will be very active in helping its customers in local government respond to the challenges of introducing IFRS. The FAN will be providing workshops, briefings, ‘how to’ guides and a regular bulletin.

CIPFA operates a Technical Enquiry Service in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and also a dedicated service for Scotland, providing information, guidance and advice on professional issues. The implementation of IFRS across the public sector is expected to pose many challenges for practitioners and CIPFA can provide support through this process.
