CIPFA International - Consultancy

CIPFA International is a specialist international consultancy and training service established by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) in 1989. As a division of the IPF, it draws on the resources of the whole CIPFA group and provides access to a wide network of skills, expertise, advice and support to deliver consultancy and training services to public service organisations outside the UK.

The strengths of CIPFA International lie in its experience of UK public sector management. Our consultants have a clear understanding of the needs, interests and attitudes of the public sector and both practical experience of UK public sector management and knowledge of the latest developments in public sector financial management techniques.

We work with a wide range of overseas governments and aid agencies including the World Bank, Department for International Development, British Know How Fund and the European Union. The majority of our assignments are aimed at:

To provide a broader consultancy resource we often operate with partners such as the British Council, major commercial consultants and local consultants to deliver the specialist inputs that projects may require. In recent years we have operated extensively in Central and Eastern Europe and in developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.

CIPFA Training Consultancy

Our training consultancy is best known within the public services as a specialist provider of financial and resource management training. Our client base consists of a wide variety of public service and private sector organisations, including local authorities, health authorities, the probation service, institutions of higher and further education and government departments at home and abroad.

We provide training courses for both financial and non-financial staff of a financial and non-financial nature. We provide training courses in 'best value', benchmarking and competitive tendering skills. We train people to improve their personal effectiveness and acquire new skills to increase their efficiency and hence the productivity of their organisations.

We offer a range of training products that cover finance, competition and benchmarking skills. These packages come complete with trainer's notes and overhead projector slides and can be delivered by our customers' trainers.
