Accra Agenda for Action
The Accra Agenda for Action will be the main output of the 3rd High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (2-4 September, Accra, Ghana) and will "reflect issues that have arisen in the implementation of the Paris Declaration which are central to improving aid effectiveness and would benefit from the political spotlight and peer pressure that can be generated by the Forum."

Africa Action Plan
(Plan d'action pour l'Afrique)
In 2005 the World Bank and the IMF requested an Africa Action Plan (AAP) to show how the Bank Group would work in partnership with others to help every African country achieve as many of the MDGs as possible. AAP concentrates on four areas – accelerating shared growth, building capable states, sharpening the focus on results, and strengthening the development partnership.

African Development Bank
(Banque Africaine de Développement - Banco Africano de Desarrollo)
The ADB is a multilateral development bank whose shareholders include 53 African countries (regional member countries—RMCs) and 24 non-African countries from the Americas, Asia, and Europe (non-regional member countries—non-RMCs). African Development Fund
(Fonds Africain de Développement - Fondo de Desarrollo Africano (FAD))
The African Development Fund (ADF), which comprises the African Development Bank (AfDB) and State Participants, became operational in 1974. Its main objective is to reduce poverty in regional member countries (RMCs) by providing low-income RMCs with concessional loans and grants for projects, and technical assistance for studies and capacity-building activities.

African Organisation of English-speaking Supreme Audit Institutions
With effect from 1 January 2005, were regrouped the English-speaking SAIs in the region to form one effective organisation called the African Organisation of English-speaking Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI-E) with its own Statutes and annual membership fees. Consists of twenty-one English- and two Portuguese-speaking SAIs

African Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions
The chief objective of the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI) is to promote and develop the exchange of ideas and experience among the SAIs of the African states in the field of the audit of public finances. African Partnership Forum
The Africa Partnership Forum (APF) was established in November 2003 as a way of broadening the existing high-level G8/NEPAD dialogue to encompass Africa's major bilateral and multilateral development partners. The APF's mission is to strengthen partnership efforts in favour of Africa's development.

African Regional Technical Assistance Centers
(Centres Régionaux d'Assistance Technique en Afrique)
The African Regional Technical Assistance Centers (AFRITACs) are part of the IMF's Africa Capacity-Building Initiative launched in May 2002. The Initiative promotes strengthening the capacity of African countries to design and implement their poverty-reducing strategies, as well as to improve the coordination of capacity-building technical assistance in the PRSP process.

Members: East AFRITAC (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania) serves seven countries in East Africa (Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda). West AFRITAC (Bamako, Mali) serves ten countries in West Africa (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d' Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, and Togo). Central AFRITAC (Libreville, Gabon) serves countries in the CEMAC group, plus Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo

(Union Africaine)
The African Union (abbreviated AU in English, and UA in its other working languages) is an intergovernmental organization consisting of 53 African nations; "As a continental organization it focuses on the promotion of peace, security and stability on the continent as a prerequisite for the implementation of the development and integration agenda of the Union."

Members: Of the African states, only Morocco is not a member.

Arab Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions
(Organisation Arabe des Institutions Supérieures de Contrôle des Finances Publiques)
The Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) was established in 1976. Its objectives are: - Structuring cooperation member institutions; - Provide assistance to the Arab countries planning to establish SAIs; - Enhancing cooperation between members of the Organization and the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

Association of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa

The Association of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa (ABWA) was inaugurated on the 10th August 1982 in Lagos, Nigeria by Mr. Gordon H. Cowperthwaite, then President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), as a sub-regional organization of IFAC in West Africa.
