Affiliate & Associate Memberships

  1. Professional Qualification
    Students who have successfully completed the Certificate stage and at least 50 days IPDS evidence may apply for Affiliate membership of CIPFA and Associate membership to those who have passed the Diploma stage and at least 150 days IPDS evidence. This entitles the holder to use the designatory letters CIPFA Cert (Affiliates) and CIPFA Dip (Associates) while membership subscriptions are maintained. Affiliate and Associate members are ‘non-corporate’ members of CIPFA, which does not entitle the holder any voting rights.

  2. Certification in Charity Finance & Accountancy

    Those who successfully complete this qualification and at least 50 days IPDS evidence can apply for Affiliate membership. Holders will be entitled to use the designatory letters CIPFA (Affil).

    This membership is a 'non-corporate' membership of CIPFA and does not entitle the holder any voting rights of the Institute.

  3. Diploma in Public Audit

    Upon successful completion of this qualification and at least 50 days IPDS evidence students can apply for Affiliate membership. Holders will be entitled to use the designatory letters DPA(CIPFA).

    This membership is a ‘non-corporate’ membership of CIPFA and does not entitle the holder any voting rights of the Institute.

  4. Advanced Diploma in Business and Financial Management

    Upon successful completion of this qualification students automatically become Associate members and are entitled to use the designatory letters Adv Dip BFM (CIPFA) providing they continue to pay their annual membership.

    This membership is a ‘non-corporate’ membership of CIPFA and does not entitle the holder any voting rights of the Institute.
