Applying for CIPFA Membership

CIPFA students who have successfully completed the CIPFA Professional Accountancy Qualification and Initial Professional Development Scheme (IPDS) are invited to apply for CIPFA Membership. Once membership is approved Members can use the designatory letters ‘CPFA’ (Chartered Public Finance Accountant) for as long as they continue membership.

Application forms are dispatched from the Membership department.  Should you have misplaced your copy please contact 020 3117 1880 or email membership@cipfa.org.uk. Completed forms should be sent to the Membership Operations department at CIPFA together with the appropriate application fee. A signed form is required; copies and faxes cannot be accepted.

If you have not completed the CIPFA education and training programme, are not eligible under other routes into membership and are not a member of a mutually recognised body please visit the ‘Become a Student’ information pages at http://www.cipfa.org.uk/students/prospective/paq.cfm. Although you may not be eligible for direct membership you may be exempted from some examinations because of the qualifications you hold.
