Mutual Recognition - AUSTRALIA
In June 2007 CIPFA and CPA Australia entered into a Mutual Recognition Agreement to further develop the relationship between the two bodies and establish guidelines on how qualified members can gain reciprocal membership.
a) CIPFA Members seeking CPA Australia membership
CIPFA Members will be eligible to apply for CPA Australia membership provided they:
CIPFA members would be eligible for membership of CPA Australia in the status of Certified Practising Accountant and use of the designatory letters CPA.

CPA Australia is not obliged to admit as its member any member of CIPFA who is a member of CIPFA by virtue of an MRA or any other mutual recognition arrangement with another professional body.
b) CPA’s Seeking CIPFA Membership
CPA Australia members will be eligible to apply for CIPFA membership provided they have:
CPA Australian members would be eligible for membership of CIPFA in the status of Chartered Public Finance Accountant and use of the designatory letters CPFA.
CIPFA is not obliged to admit as its member any member of CPA Australia who is a member of CPA Australia by virtue of an MRA or any other mutual recognition arrangement with another professional body.
