How to become a well-travelled man
| It has been a busy five weeks since I was elected President at the annual general meeting in Bournemouth last month. In that period I have travelled 3,300 miles (1,800 by car, 1,100 by train and 400 by plane), attended 16 functions, made 20 speeches and spent 19 days and 11 nights away from home. Perhaps I should run a sweepstake on how many miles I will travel this year. |
