The Housing Corporation is seeking volunteers to serve on the boards of housing associations that it has placed under supervision.
The Corporation makes about 40 appointments a year to associations undergoing supervision. Statutory appointees perform a critical role in helping the Boards of failing organisations to face up to and remedy their shortcomings as evidenced in its last published review - With the Best of Intentions – Learning from Problem Cases III, July 2006.
The Corporation are seeking to attract a wider and more diverse range of skilled and experienced individuals prepared to give their time and expertise to this critical role. While most of those appointed come from within the sector, bringing with them substantial experience of associations at either senior executive or non executive levels, they are keen to encourage interest from all sectors.
If you are interested in volunteering please contact Patrick Dunphy, Patrick.Dunphy@housingcorp.gsx.gov.uk/020 7393 2087.
