IFS and MORI join CIPFA conference programme
Leading experts in the UK's public finances and public opinion are to share the stage at this year's CIPFA annual conference.
Robert Chote, Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), will set out the scale of the UK's public spending challenge, and Bobby Duffy, Managing Director of Ipsos MORI, will consider peoples' perceptions of public bodies and the services they deliver. They join a speaker line-up that includes Göran Persson - the former Prime Minister of Sweden - plus Charles Kennedy, and political broadcasters Nick Robinson and Cathy Newman. CIPFA conference takes place in Harrogate from 8 - 10 June. |

IFRS transistion guidance online The latest International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)transition guidance for local authorities has been added to the CIPFA/LASAAC web site. This includes leases and revisions to the sections on Government Grants and Borrowing Costs. |
