Big Society: commissioning with the third sector

What is David Cameron’s ‘Big Society’ and what does it mean for public service delivery? Level two in the CIPFA and IDeA programme of training for public sector commissioners and finance staff will consider the new policy agenda and explore the practical issues involved in enabling effective engagement with the community, voluntary, charitable and social enterprise sectors. The programme is fully funded by and delivered on behalf of the Office of Civil Society. Details are available here.

New CRC guidance from CIPFA
CIPFA has published a new guide to help public sector organisations meet the requirements of the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC).
