NEW – study for the CIPFA Professional Qualification in Manchester
Students can now study for the CIPFA Professional Qualification in Manchester through a joint partnership between the CIPFA Education and Training Centre and Leeds Metropolitan University. Courses at each level of the qualification are to start in September 2009. A consultation event for students and employers will be held on the 28th July at Bury Town Hall.

Expert panel appointment
The Local Governance Research Unit (LGRU) has appointed Salina Bates, CIPFA Policy Research Manager, to its expert panel established following recommendations from the LGRU's capability review of the Department of Communities and Local Government. The panel will provide independent challenge and analytical support on a range of local government issues. |
