Political correspondent to chair CIPFA conference
Cathy Newman is to chair the second day of CIPFA annual conference.
As a leading political correspondent currently on the election 2010 trail, Cathy will bring a unique insight to sessions including a a panel debate on new models of public service delivery and a leadership masterclass with Sir Nicholas Montagu, former chairman of the Inland Revenue.
CIPFA conference takes place from 8-10 June, with an outstanding programme of speakers and essential workshops for people in the public services.

CIPFA Scotland on efficient public services CIPFA Scotland has submitted evidence to the Independent Budget Review Panel and the Scottish Parliament Finance Committee's inquiry into efficient public services.
Both reviews are considering the choices facing Scotland's public services during the anticipated period of tightening public expenditure. The CIPFA submissions stress the need for radical reform to public service delivery, as well as the importance of benchmarking and effective asset management. |
