Measuring the impact of the downturn across Europe
CIPFA, the ICAEW and the European Capital Markets Institute (ECMI) last month held a seminar in Brussels on the economic downturn and its impact on public accounts across Europe. Chaired by Caroline Mawhood, chair of both the Federation of European Accountants (FEE) Public Sector Committee and the CIPFA International Strategy Board, speakers included Marco Buti, Director General of DG Economic and Financial Affairs at the European Commission.

Third annual ICAEW/CIPFA public sector conference - early bird booking available Early bird booking is available until 31 December for the Third Annual Public Sector Conference, held jointly by CIPFA and the ICAEW. The conference will be on 5 March in London and on 12 March in Leeds and will reflect on IFRS implementation to date and consider the challenges ahead for improving financial management and accountability. |
