CIPFA and Kaplan to deliver qualification for Audit Commission
CIPFA and training provider Kaplan are to work together on a new public audit variant of the CIPFA professional qualification. From September, Audit Commission trainees will enrol for the new course at Kaplan centres in Birmingham, Leeds and London. Adrian Pulham, Director of Education and Training at CIPFA said: 'CIPFA is looking forward to working with Kaplan. The new public audit variant of the CIPFA qualification will see hundreds more students obtaining the finest public sector accountancy qualification in the world'.

New Chair for CIPFA Scotland Derek Yule, Head of Finance at Aberdeenshire County Council, is the new chair of CIPFA Scotland. Derek has been involved with CIPFA for over 25 years and brings a wealth of experience from the NHS and local government. He said: 'As head of finance I have been dealing with running services that have a major impact on the lives of everyone in the community. I want to do everything I can to involve the brightest and the best young people in Scotland in this most challenging of activities.' |

Among those taking their seat for the first time is national student forum chair Judith Savage, who became a full CIPFA member earlier this year. |
