CIPFA manifesto calls for major public services debate

CIPFA is calling for a debate on improving governance and financial management in the UK public services. Our manifesto, Better Ideas, Better Public Services launched this week at the CIPFA annual conference, sets out our ideas for improving openness and decision-making in the public services. Read the manifesto and join the debate here.

Role of the public service CFO 
A major CIPFA report launched this week sets out five principles that define the core activities and behaviours belonging to the role of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in public service organisations and the organisational arrangements needed to support them. Available online, the report is essential reading for all existing and aspiring CFOs.

 
     

New treasury management qualification for the public sector
A new Certificate in International Treasury Management - Public Finance (CERTITM-PF) is now available from the Association of Corporate Treasurers and CIPFA. The CERTITM-PF is the only professional qualification to deliver the essential skills and understanding of all aspects of international treasury management for those working in the public services.
