The CIPFA Audit Conference – 23 to 25 April, Southampton

Positively Charged? Making the Most of Charging and Trading Potential in Local Government - 3 June, London
The Audit Commission has just published a national report on local authority income, and charging and trading are again on the agenda. Authorities gained new powers to generate discretionary income under the Local Government Act 2003. Trading flexibilities are available to all except CPA ‘no star’ authorities. The use of charging is likely to figure in the enhanced use of resources judgement. This event, for finance and service managers, looks at how authorities can make the most of existing and new income sources. |
