This conference is designed to tackle the initiative put forward by Sir Gus O’Donnell on instilling the four ‘P’s in the finance role. Looking at the broad policy and then delving into specific projects designed to achieve the wide ranging targets, the day offers delegates the chance to consider the challenges facing them and to go back to the office with specific ideas to implement.

 

Good Governance in Partnerships Seminar – 6 October – Edinburgh

This seminar will examine how a partnership is to be directed and controlled, the stage in the life cycle which the partnership is at, as well as the structure of the partnership itself.

The CIPFA Health Finance Conference 2006: Achieving High Performance Organisations - 6 October - London

2006 has been a particularly difficult year for many organisations within the NHS. Nonetheless, many parts of the NHS have transformed themselves into high performance organisations, with others continuing to approach this goal. The conference will address the key issues facing the NHS, sharing examples of best practice and examining the facts behind the headlines.

 

Contracting with the Third Sector: A CIPFA Social Services and Charities Panels Finance Conference - 9 October - London

This conference will tackle the financial issues arising when contracting between the Third Sector and Local Authorities. The event sessions will develop from the wider view on roles and policies to consider the technicalities involved in issuing contracts, charging and pricing and procurement issues.

 

Asset Management Planning Seminar - 9 October - Edinburgh

This one-day seminar is designed specifically to provide both a strategic and practical context for asset management. A range of public bodies from throughout the UK will contribute to this key event.
