Supporting People – 1 February, London
This event examines how authorities can continue to fund and manage housing-related support against a changing financial landscape. From April 2009, Supporting People resources will most likely cease to be ring-fenced and will be subsumed in the new area-based grant funding local area agreements. The day will cover the new financial arrangements and the ways in which Supporting People services can be maintained and developed, and how you can ensure services are financially sustainable. |
 |
The CIPFA Sustainability Conference – 27 February, London
Sustainability is an increasingly important concept in both the public and private sectors. Many organisations now have sustainability strategies setting out excellent intentions, but they often lack the systems, tools and skills to fully implement them. There is no simple, consistent reporting framework that enables stakeholders to assess delivery. This conference aims to help participants improve their sustainability performance by providing them with comprehensive guidance and examples of best practice. |
 |
An Introduction to Local Authority Capital Finance, Accounting and the Prudential Code – 29 February, London
