CIPFA Social Care Conference – 26 & 27 June, Southampton
CIPFA’s Social Care and Children’s Services Panel present a new concept for this conference. Both adult social care finance and children’s services finance teams will have their own areas of policy and development catered for as two streams are offered over this two-day event. You can attend sessions that you find most appropriate or interesting, ‘mix and match’ sessions, and need not remain within your own sector.

Service Level Agreements - 27 June, Glasgow
This course aims to help those in public services who either purchase or provide services and wish to use a service level agreement (SLA) to contract for these services. SLAs will be considered within the wider procurement agenda and delegates will examine SLAs in the context of different organisational models including shared services.

CIPFA’s Local Authority Housing Panel are pleased to present the popular introductory level seminar for housing finance professionals. Senior practitioners experienced in all areas of housing finance will deliver practical advice and case studies. Delegates will gain a thorough grounding in housing finance, including the mechanics of the Housing Revenue Account and the subsidy system.

The Essentials of Project Management – 2 & 3 July, Edinburgh
This course combines an overview of fundamental concepts and terminology with the practicalities needed to implement projects successfully using the PRINCE2 methodology. Using case studies and practical exercises, delegates will explore project management topics in greater depth, such as planning, scheduling and control tools.

This seminar is designed especially for councillors, and will be of particular benefit to recently elected councillors and those wishing to update their knowledge of current issues. Developing Treasury Management in Local Government Finance – Practitioners Update - 9 September, London
A special event tailored for treasury practitioners and line managers, this will be of vital interest to all local authorities.
