The Student Learning Centre (SLC) has had an upgrade making it easier for you to use.

From Monday 18 January 2010, when you log in you will notice the site looks different and has extra functionality. Learning content has been updated and streamlined for all modules making it easier to navigate.

The upgrade makes the SLC more user-friendly as it provides greater flexibility with an improved layout and extra learning tools.

Some key benefits of the new system include:

• Module lists that make it easy to find what you are looking for
• Better learning content navigation
• New learning tools such as a personal journal for keeping notes while you learn and webliography to store useful web links
• Module related discussion forums
• Easier access to ‘ask the tutor’ and printing PDF versions

You don’t need to take any action now but look out for more emails from us. You will be sent a new user name and password in separate emails leading up to the go-live date of 18 January 2010 when the updated site will be available for you to use. You may continue to use your current site up until this date.
