The CIPFA/Chairs' Forum partnership was publicly launched at a major governance event on 24 March 2009 which was addressed by Dr John Carver, a leading international expert in corporate governance.

Chairs Forum Launch

Lunchtime Briefing
Members of the Forum had to opportunity to meet informally with Bruce Robinson, Head of the Northern Ireland Civil Service, at a lunchtime briefing on 11 May 2009 hosted by the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute.

At this briefing, Bruce Robinson was able to outline the general thinking amongst senior civil servants and Government as to what is in the pipeline during the next 12-24 months. He also took the opportunity to challenge Chairs to respond to future demands.
