Would you like to join this CIPFA Panel?
The CIPFA Health Panel welcomes expressions of interest from people who may seek to join it in due course as vacancies arise.
The Panel meets 3 to 4 times a year and assists the Institute’s policy and technical work in its subject area. This typically includes the following types of activity:
- developing Institute responses to Government, professional bodies' and other bodies' consultation/discussion papers and exposure drafts
- developing, promoting and maintaining best practice, standards and guidelines
- producing and disseminating relevant advice and material for members and employers in the Panel’s subject area
- establishing positive and productive professional relationships with Government, government departments and agencies, the national audit bodies, professional regulators and other bodies falling within the Panel's subject area.
If you feel you could contribute to the Panel’s thinking and activities and would like to be considered for membership, in the first instance please contact matthew.allen@cipfa.org.uk with a short summary of your CV, and of your reasons for interest in joining the Panel.

Free CIPFA health publication
CIPFA is very pleased to offer a new publication to members. Financial, Clinical and Patient Engagement Strategies to Modernise the NHS covers the groundwork necessary to establish a robust business case to modernise NHS services. It includes specific guidance on clinical and patient engagement as pre-requisites of change and a case study on the modernisation of diabetes services.

TIS Health
Do you work in the health sector? Are you looking for a way to share your expertise? If the answers are yes, then contributing to TISonline could be for you.
The TISonline Health editorial board requires new members with a background in health finance. We would like to hear from anyone with experience in foundation trusts, strategic health authorities, care trusts, or corporate governance, but we would also welcome new members with more general skills and knowledge. The TISonline Children's Services is also seeking a practitioner from the health sector to help draft content covering health services for children and joint arrangements between PCTs and local authorities. Editorial board members have complimentary access to TISonline for the duration of their membership and contributions qualify for CPD credits. |
