PrintAbout the Panel
The e-agenda is key to the delivery of public services and we need as a profession to ensure that we recognise the impact of technology upon our organisations - and particularly upon the finance function. The Institute's Public Finance Board decided, therefore, to form a Panel to identify the key IT-related initiatives that we should be pursuing and to help in developing guidance and good practice in this area.
The Panel aims to focus upon those aspects of IT that are important to the finance professional and which may not have been fully covered to date elsewhere. If you have a view on aspects of IT that you would like us to focus upon, or you would like to highlight material that you believe is particularly relevant and useful, then please contact us via the Feedback page.
Terms of Reference
The IT Panel was created to focus upon IT issues of relevance to the finance community in public services. More specifically it intends to:
- be the focal point on IT issues for the Institute
- identify IT-related issues that impact upon public services
- respond to IT-related consultations/legislation on behalf of the Institute
- develop IT-related initiatives through events and publications
- advise on Information and Technological content of Institute activities
