To approve the minutes of the meeting held on 21 September 2001. To note any matters arising not included elsewhere on the agenda.

3 REVISED DRAFT OF EXPOSURE DRAFT FOR CONSULTATION OF THE PRUDENTIAL CODE PCSG 12 01/02

To consider the revised draft for consultation of the Prudential Code for Capital Finance in Local Authorities.

In order to assist discussion, the attached paper highlights major issues suggested for consideration by the Steering Group together with the revised draft of the exposure draft of the Code.

If members wish to raise further major issues for discussion at the meeting, please would they give advance notice of these to the Chairman and Secretary by noon on 30 October.

Members are requested to send detailed drafting points to the Secretary by correspondence.
