The Public Management and Policy Association (PMPA) is a national membership organisation which exists to promote the value of public management and public policy.

It provides a voice for a community of public sector managers, academics, policy-makers, commentators and those with an interest in public services.

It arranges events, lectures, publications and other opportunities for this community to meet, discuss and comment on the public policy and management issues of the day.

The Public Management and Policy Association is managed by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, its policies and activities overseen by the PMPA Board.

PMPA Values
The PMPA stands for the highest standard of public management and policy, developed within a framework of vibrant democratic governance, in order to deliver the very best public services to the citizens of the UK.

PMPA Objectives
The PMPA promotes these values through its objectives of encouraging learning and sharing of experience by public managers and policy-makers across all sectors; promoting the study of public administration, public policy and public management; and supporting the exchange of ideas and information between academics and practitioners.

PMPA Activities
The PMPA delivers these objectives by providing a meeting place and a voice for the community of public sector managers, academics, policy-makers, commentators and those with an interest in public services.

Day to day matters are overseen by the PMPA Board.
