PMM Needs You!
Public Money & Management is an extremely successful bridge between academics and practitioners. As well as strict guidelines for authors and careful editing, the editorial team achieves this by using two people to review each article. We are always on the lookout for additional practitioner referees.
Practitioner refereeing involves reading an article and recommending publication or not, or suggesting changes that would make it useful and important to practitioners. Referees cannot be paid and we need answers quickly so that authors do not have to wait too long for a decision.
If you would like to help out occasionally, please contact the Deputy Editor, Professor Jane Broadbent (jane.broadbent@roehampton.ac.uk) with your area of expertise.
Consultations on Financial and Stakeholder Reporting by Local Authorities
This is a time of great change for local authority accounting and reporting. CIPFA is therefore seeking views on the future direction of financial and stakeholder reporting by local authorities in two separate but linked consultations.
New LAAP Chair Appointed
The new Chair of the Local Authority Accounting Panel will be Ken Finch, Corporate Director - Resources at Conwy CBC. Ken has been a member of the CIPFA Council, and sits on CIPFA's Board for the Regions and Public Finance and Management Board. Tim Day, currently acting Chair of the panel will act as the vice chair for around 6 months to allow for a smooth transition. A new vice chair will then be appointed who will have a key supporting role in dealing with what will be a demanding workload.
