Spreadsheet focus
Two key volunteers from the European Group were the subject of an article in the April edition of Spreadsheet magazine. Hilary Street described her work as the website volunteer for the Region, whilst Victoria Bainbridge discussed her role as Secretary.
CIPFA European Group Annual Seminar and Members' Annual Meeting
On 15 October 2008 the Group held its annual seminar and members' meeting at the FEE Conference Centre in Brussels.
Presentations were received from Caroline Mawhood, CIPFA President and Chair of FEE Public Sector Committee and Caroline Rickatson, CIPFA's new International Development Director.
At the members' annual meeting, Leslie Milne, Chair of the CIPFA European Group, presented the European Group Regional Annual Report 2007 and the draft European Group Development Plan for 2009. A lively discussion took place about the development of a European Strategy for CIPFA.
CIPFA's International Strategy Panel
Leslie Milne, Chair of the CIPFA European Group, is a member of CIPFA's International Strategy Panel. The Panel considers CIPFA's international activities and how they relate to the relevant aspects of the Institute's Development Strategy.
