European Annual Seminar and General Meeting 2011
The CIPFA European Group held its annual seminar at the offices of the Federation of European Accountants, (FEE), in Brussels. Chris Bilsand, CIPFA's President, opened the seminar with a welcome speech. This was followed by an interesting presentation by Philip Johnson, President of FEE, on the latest developments in audit. The seminar was followed by a meeting of CIPFA members who heard presentations on the progress CIPFA is making in Europe.
Delegates heard a series of interesting presentations pertinent to the current economic situation. Copies of the following presentations are available for download:

- Jose Correia Nunes, Head of Unit, Economic Analysis, Public Finance and Budget Support, DG Development and Cooperation - Europe Aid, (DEVCO): 'Tackling the challenge of improving financial management in the Developing Countries'
- Peter Boulding, Assistant Director, CIPFA: 'CIPFA and the Developing World: a holistic approach'.
