Regional Council

The CIPFA in the Midlands Regional Council has overall responsibility for managing the Region's affairs. It meets four or five times each year at venues across the Midlands region, and considers a variety of business.

Membership of the Regional Council

The officers and ten Members are directly elected by CIPFA members in the Region; each Area Executive can nominate a representative and a student representative; and the AAT also nominates one of its Members. In addition, the Council co-opts representatives of associated groups and bodies such as the December Club, the CATS Committee and the CPD Advisor. All of these members have voting rights.

CIPFA National Council Members who work or live in the Midlands can attend Council meetings, and the CIPFA Secretariat is represented by a senior officer. However, they are not able to vote.
