International Development and Current Trends, February 2006

The student society held their first student event for 2006 at Leicester City Council. The event was very successful with 26 students attending. Students arrived at 12:30 and were greeted by a very good buffet lunch courtesy of Leicester City Council.

Proceedings kicked off with the first of three talks on International Development and CIPFA Careers Abroad, followed by an update on the changes made to the IPDS, then to finish a talk on Current and Emerging Issues in the Public Sector. The feedback forms show that students found it very useful for their professional development and look forward to the next event.

Students Society Launch and Seminar, October 2004

October 2004 saw the culmination of months of hard work as the CIM Student Union (now the Students Society) was officially launched. Over 50 students from across the region gathered at PriceWaterhouseCoopers' East Midlands offices to attend the event and all of them were eager to discover exactly what the Region's own student body would offer them.
