CIPFA in the North East Students' Society
What does it do?
The Students' Society supports CIPFA students in the local area by;
- Arranging syllabus and work related events to support students in their studies and career development.
- Providing direct support to students by acting as a point of contact for any queries they may have about CIPFA and/or their studies and career development.
- Feeding into the National Student Forum any concerns raised by students.
- Creating networking opportunities through organising social events, involving students and qualified accountants from other bodies and organisations.
- By representing CIPFA at local careers fairs and events.
How can it benefit me?
The society gives students the opportunity to;
- Develop personally and professionally by attending events (which can form part of their logbook)
- Have influence over the institute and how it operates
- Experiences the workplace might not provide
- Meet other students and professionals and make contacts
(If you want to be part of the committee please get in touch with our Chair who will be more than welcome to give you details of our next committee meeting.)

and more importantly...
