CIPFA South East have in excess of 1,000 registered Professional and Advanced Diploma Students. This page aims to provide a resource to those and prospective students working or living in the South East.
Rohan Tambyraja is one of these students. He works for the Metropolitan Police as an accounting technician, and studies at CETC. John Sandbach prize goes to CETC's DWP student
Mark Murphy, a student on the very first intake of the Department for Work and Pensions in-house course, designed and delivered by the CIPFA Education and Training Centre, has been awarded the John Sandbach Memorial Prize.

Students Team Up to Find Success
In October an enthusiastic group of CIPFA trainee students gathered in mid-Wales to take part in our third student team-building weekend. For the second year running, the weather was not kind, but the heavy rain did not dampen spitits for the weekend's activities. CETC South East employers meeting |
Employers Meetings are held every March and September and employers of students currently attending CETC South East are invited to attend. Other employers in the area are also welcomed at the meeting if they wish to attend.
The Employers meetings are the best forum to find out about the plans CETC and CIPFA have, hear a review of the courses and performance in exams from the Course Director, ask questions, and meet with other employers.

CETC South East students gain 'fantastic results' in December 2007 exams |
CIPFA students who attended courses with the CIPFA Education & Training Centre (CETC) in London have gained 'fantastic results' in the December 2007 CIPFA Professional Qualification exams (PQ).
With 676 papers sat by students attending CETC South East the overall pass rate was 84% and highlights of CETC South East pass rates results include (CIPFA average pass rates in brackets):
- Financial Management Systems & Techniques 90% (62%)
- Financial Accounting 90% (72%)
- Management Accounting 94% (79%)
- Financial Reporting 88% (65%)
- Financial and Performance Reporting 83% (67%)
- Governance & Public Policy 97% (83%)
- Leadership & Management 83% (73%)
- Taxation 95% (93%)
- Finance & Management Case Study 75% (57%)
- Strategic Business Management 86% (72%)
