Yorkshire and Humber Annual Dinner
The CIPFA Yorkshire and Humber Region recently held their annual dinner in Leeds which was attended by 86 guests including regional award winners, newly elected members, retired members and CIPFA President Jaki Meekings. A raffle raised £525 for Leukaemia Research. Judging from the noise in the room and the lateness of the hour when the last guests went to bed, it was a great success and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year. The event was supported by our main sponsor Deloitte and also NatWest and CIPFA Placements.
Professional Development Day - Cutting with Care - Managing the Outcomes of the Spending Review
Building upon the 2009 event where the theme was the effect of the economic downturn on the role of the finance professional, the theme for the recent 2010 development day was Cutting with Care – managing the outcomes of the Spending Review.
