Have I met the assessment
criteria?
Once you have compiled your portfolio and before you send it to CIPFA, go over
each section, checking whether the contents of the portfolio answer the following
questions;
Planning
- Have I said why I have undertaken this activity and why it is appropriate
to my role and/or how it will help my development?
- Who else might be involved in this activity, what will be our respective
roles, why?
- How will I demonstrate my level of input?
- How long will it take, what will I need and what is the potential for
'unknowns' arising?
- What might provide evidence?
For each reflective commentary
- Have I addressed what was learned/achieved and how?
- Have I addressed the factors that helped or hindered this learning/
achievement?
- Have I considered the positive and negative aspects of the experience and
how I felt about them?
- Have I identified how far this learning has enabled me to achieve an
identified goal or outcome?
- Have I considered my response to outcomes from the activity?
- Have I considered any ethical factors that have an impact on my
professional responsibilities?
- Have I considered the effect this experience has had on my professional
development?
Evidence
- Does this show that the activity was undertaken?
- Does this show I was personally involved in the activity?
- Does this provide any detail or confirmation of my role in this activity?
- Does this provide evidence of the outcome of the activity?
Evidence for the iterative process should also address:
- Feedback to me from others.
- Changes to my original piece of work.
Evidence for the long term process should also demonstrate:
- The activity lasted over a period of at least three months.
- That I actively planned and managed this process.
