Statement of Expertise
All the tasks that you include in this log must be linked to the broad areas of the Statement of Expertise.
When allocating workplace experience to an area in the Statement of Expertise you can use your own judgment as to which area it is most appropriate. Remember, one piece of work may have several different aspects or components and may be split between areas.
An example might be agreeing an audit specification with a client. Clearly this will come under Audit and Accountability, but you could also consider the meeting you will probably have had with the client. Could this come under Partnerships and Stakeholder Relations?
Also keep in mind that the Statement of Expertise considers the expertise of CPFAs with several years post qualification experience. You are not expected to be working at this level of expertise and specialisation, so when allocating work to an area of expertise, think of what you are doing as the first building block or step in this area.

As important as the technical skills that you will be developing are the softer, managerial skills and those of professionalism and ethical behaviour. Do not ignore these when completing the log.
