IPDS Guide - Producing & Presenting your Portfolio
Key features
You are required to produce a portfolio of learning that maps your professional
development. This portfolio is subject to assessment and consists of four parts as
follows:
- A log or record on which you record the details of your 400 days of
validated workplace experience as required by the CIPFA regulations.
- Evidenced activities
- For the Professional level you must evidence, record and reflect on the
application of theory to three selected areas of professional activity. These
activities must be chosen from the list here (PDF 46kb)
- For the Final Test of Professional Competence you must evidence, record
and reflect on the three specified activities:
- An oral presentation
- An iterative process
- The management of a long term, planned process
- A reflective commentary on your workplace experiences, with specific
emphasis placed on your professional development, which has taken place
while you have been undertaking your studies. This will include your future
learning goals.
- On each activity, a brief comment from your employer confirming that in
the view of your employer, each activity was appropriate to the
organisation and the environment in which the organisation operates.
