The National Student Forum (NSF) gives students studying with CIPFA a voice within the Institute. We aim to ensure that the student perspective is addressed in all areas of the Institute’s developments and activities.

The NSF is closely associated with the Education and Training Directorate. The following are just some of the areas where the NSF is active:

Student Communication
The NSF speaks to students within their region and individually to ensure that their views and concerns are raised at the regular NSF meetings.

To raise an issue at the next NSF meeting please visit AOB 4 u

Student Conference
The NSF hosts an annual conference where issues central to students are discussed.

Discussion Forum
The NSF tracks the activities on the Student Discussion Forum and informs CIPFA of issues that need to be dealt with, as well as suggesting ways forward.

Panels and Boards
Students are represented at the highest levels in the Institute, with NSF members sitting on both CIPFA Council and the Members and Students Development Board. The NSF is also involved with the relevant CIPFA panels and boards.

Student Learning Centre (SLC)
The NSF is involved in assessing the SLC and making suggestions on how the materials can be improved.

If you any problems and concerns about your CIPFA studies or would like to make any suggestions, please email us at nsf@cipfa.org
