Exemptions
Exemptions can be granted on a paper by paper basis, for any combination of subjects, if you can provide evidence that you have studied all the material included in that paper's syllabus to a level equivalent to that required by the CIPFA examiners.
Firstly, check to see if your college and qualification are listed in the drop down list below.
If your qualification is listed, please send in a copy of your qualification certificate with your Registration Form, so that a confirmation letter of your exemptions can be issued to you immediately.
If your existing qualification has not appeared in the drop down list, this has not been assessed by CIPFA before. You will be required to complete the exemption grids linking the relevant elements of your qualification to the CIPFA syllabus when applying for exemptions. Please click on this link, which will take you through to the exemption grids.
Any academic or professional qualifications under ten years will be considered for exemptions.
CIPFA will also consider part qualified and fully qualified CCAB’s for exemptions.
The ten year rule does not apply to fully qualified CCAB’s.
