Speakers
Paul Mason - Assistant Director, Professional Standards and Central Government, CIPFA
Paul joined CIPFA as a Technical Manager in November 2007, and was responsible for developing CIPFA’s Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting and the introduction of IFRS into local authority accounts.
In February 2011, Paul was promoted to Assistant Director, Professional Standards and Central Government. He continues to be responsible for the local authority Code, although his remit has been extended to cover CIPFA’s work on accounting and auditing standards, internal audit, pensions and central government.
Vivek Mehan - Senior Trainer, BPP
Vivek has expertise in all areas of training design and delivery; he regularly works in partnership with clients to perform training needs analysis, course design, course delivery and course evaluation.
Vivek has led programmes for several government clients including The Insolvency Service, Department for Transport, Highways Agency and ACAS.
Vivek also worked closely with members of Treasury in increasing awareness of the transistion of UK government departments to IFRS.
