Becoming a Volunteer
Who are we looking for?
Anyone can be a CIPFA volunteer. Whether you are a student, recently qualified, a long-standing or retired member, or a non-member, the broad range of volunteering opportunities available means that there is an activity to suit all levels of skills and experience. CIPFA volunteers come from all parts of the public and private sectors, including local and central government, health, further and higher education, charities, and national audit bodies as well as from private sector firms, private practice and consultancy - the common theme being a willingness to contribute to the development of the profession, the Institute and its members and students. Choose projects that best fit your skills, interests and availability - the wider the range of participants, the better the results.
Do I have the time?
The time commitment involved can be as little of as much as you are prepared and able to give. From an hour or two to speak at a local seminar to the greater commitment involved in helping to author a new publication, you can choose what suits you.
